Who we are

What we collect, and why
When you book a table for Sunday roast we collect your name, phone number, email (optional), party size, date, arrival time and any notes you add. We use these to hold and confirm your table and to contact you about it. We rely on this being necessary to take and honour your booking.
Room bookings are made on our booking provider's page (Beds24), which collects the details it needs to take the booking and payment.
Allergy and dietary notes
Allergy and dietary notes can reveal information about your health, which the law treats as special category data. We use them only to keep you and your party safe on the day. If you add notes, we ask you to tick a box agreeing to this when you book. Tell us if you would rather not agree: ring us on 01726 850307 and we will talk through the menu with you instead.
Who sees it
We do not sell your details. Our staff see your booking. Beds24 (room bookings and payments), our email provider and our website host process data on our behalf. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, calendar widgets from Beds24 and a map from OpenStreetMap, which may see your device's address when a page loads.
How long we keep it
Table booking details, including any allergy notes, are kept for 12 months after your visit and then deleted. Room booking records are kept for as long as the law requires for accounts and tax.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. Where we rely on your consent (allergy notes) you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@thebuglepub.co.uk.
Complaints about how we use your data
If you are unhappy with how we have used your personal data, please tell us. Email hello@thebuglepub.co.uk or ring us on 01726 850307. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days of receiving it, look into it, and tell you the outcome without undue delay, keeping you updated while we do.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commission (formerly the ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. You do not have to use our process first, but it is often the quickest way to put things right.
